個人曾在「在低階噴墨印表機做數位打樣」(Digital Proof on Consumer Inkjet Printer)藝文中證實廉價低階的噴墨印表機,在經過正確與適當的色彩管理及校正,依然可以達到不錯的打樣效果,這對公司資金較不厚實的個人工作室無異是個很好的消息,但目前市面上廉價低階的噴墨印表機都普遍存在另一種問題,那就是印表機製造商都將印表機賣的很廉價,但墨水卻成為使用這些廉價低階印表機的沉重負擔,誠然市場上已有一些比印表機原廠更廉價的墨水在供應使用,但是這些廉價的墨水都沒有向原廠墨水做基本的品管,所以不同批號墨水之間的色彩差異都十分明顯,根本無法提供個人工作室作為設計打樣之用,比這認為若將這些非原廠墨水也納入色彩管理工作流程中,是否就可以為許多個人工作室在打樣方面,提供一條低廉且穩定解決方案。
