This research applies Historical Research Method, Content Analysis Method and Iconography. It discuses the situation of image application, image development process and image transformation. It also discuses image feature, visual element, performance, technique, style, and metaphor. According to the three steps of Iconography, this study focuses on the third step which is about the inner meaning of images. It describes, analyzes, and explains the image of stamps.
The result of research provides data for future syudy on the field of design works, academic research, stamp design and visual communication related works.
