This study collected plant impression fossil from Houhu, Kinmen. To analysis the morphology, there are two types of samara seeds and 20 types of leaves in the fossil specimens. The taxa of the fossil leaves are including Pteridophyta, Aceraceae, Lauraceae, Fagaceae etc. The precise taxa are to be identified in the further study. The leaves fossil bed belongs to lateritic terrace deposits which is about 5000 years before present according to radiocarbon dating data. That is , this terrace deposits is possible Holocene terrestrial deposit came from ancient Choulong River.
